45/40nm

GLOBALFOUNDRIES advanced 45/40nm technology platform provides customers an opportunity to extend the power, performance and area advantage of CMOS scaling beyond 65nm. In particular, the 40nm provides an additional area shrink benefit of up to 20% over our 45nm low-power process.

The 40nm technology is available in two offerings - the low-power (LP) version, targeted at mobile and handheld applications, and the generic (G) version, optimized for high performance computing. In both flavors, a wide range of transistor and device options are available to support today's advanced Systems-on-Chip (SoC) implementations.
