Our advanced operational and technology capabilities are made available through a global manufacturing network, anchored by existing 300mm facilities in Singapore, Germany, and a new manufacturing operation under construction in Saratoga County, New York. Periodic benchmarking conducted by third parties consistently places GLOBALFOUNDRIES as a leader worldwide in the major categories for fab performance. We have the ability to introduce technologies with greater process maturity than is typical of the foundry industry enabling the fastest volume ramps in the industry.

Fab 1 - Dresden, Germany
The Dresden manufacturing site is recognized throughout the industry as among the most successful leading-edge semiconductor production facility in the world. Fab 1 represents one of the biggest international investments in Germany with a total investment to date of more than $6 billion, and about 2,600 world-class engineers, technicians, and specialists.

Fab 7 - Singapore
Fab 7 combines state-of-the-art process control and highly automated wafer-handling systems to deliver proven manufacturing excellence to customers at 0.13um, 90nm, 65nm, 45nm and below. The facility employs a comprehensive set of Integrated Yield System (IYS) to accelerate yield learning and enable faster production ramps for customer devices.
GLOBALFOUNDRIES has translated its 300mm technological capabilities and operational efficiencies to customer product successes in both leading-edge bulk CMOS and silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technologies. Fab 7's class-leading defectivity reduction and fast production cycle times were recognized when it was awarded the 2006 Top Fab Award by Semiconductor International.

Fab 8 - Saratoga County, NY
Building on the history of developing award-winning semiconductor manufacturing facilities around the world, GLOBALFOUNDRIES is building the most advanced 300mm wafer fab in the world at the Luther Forest Technology Campus in Saratoga County, New York. Construction of the new fab began in July 2009 and is the largest commercial economic development project in the USA.
