GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled and motivated technicians to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in Malta, New York. These positions will be required to perform a variety of tasks from fab set-up through operation in the Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing Services and Process Integration/Yield Engineering Departments.
Technician Application Process Overview
GLOBALFOUNDRIES uses an assessment process to evaluate applicants for technician positions. Applicants must successfully complete all steps in the assessment process to be eligible to be invited on-site to interview. However, successful completion does not guarantee that an applicant will be invited to interview. Applicants who do not successfully complete the required steps in the assessment process are not eligible for on-site interviews but are eligible to re-apply after a period of 6 months.
Visit this link to read job descriptions and submit your application. As noted above, please make sure you wait at least six months before re-applying if you have applied previously and did not successfully complete all steps of the assessment process.
Step Two: Complete the Application and Behavioral Assessment
Upon selecting a position, you will be asked to complete a formal application, which includes questions regarding your education, work history and background. You will also be asked to complete a behavioral assessment. Successful completion of both the application and the behavioral assessment are required to progress in the hiring process.
Step Three: Pass the SAM Assessment
Upon successful completion of the application and behavioral assessment, you may self-schedule the SAM (Select Assessment for Manufacturing). The SAM is 2-3 hour computer examination that assesses basic competencies and skills for technician roles at GLOBALFOUNDIRES. Successful completion of the SAM is required to progress in the process.
Step Four: Attend an Onsite Interview/Assessment Day
If an applicant successfully completes steps 1-3, hiring managers and the Staffing team will review the applicant's file to determine whether to extend an invitation for an onsite interview.
